Taro Milk Tea Whey Protein

This tastes just like traditional boba tea but with none of the downsides! The macros are ideal, and I like to add chia seeds for their fiber and “micro-boba” texture. I recommend it to my patients who are working on losing weight, building muscle, and/or improving their blood sugar.

This flavor is so smooth and delicious! I use 12 ounces if water and 1 scoop full, then add about 6 more ounces of water and Mt tapioca balls. Take like 4 minutes to prepare and I crave it all day. I often have 2 a day.

I barely have to shake this protein powder and it mixes soooo well.

I’ve loved taro since I was a little boy, but this is something completely different. Taro’s always been tasty but paired with the slight paste~ of the protein powder, its a perfect combination. This has been the most enjoyable protein powder i’ve ever used, not too mention its all natural and healthy for us!!!

Giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s not as good as the milk tea or the matcha flavors. But, it’s better than the Jasmine and on par with the Thai tea. The bag recommends mixing with water but I think the flavor is better and creamier with milk.

For the “ice cream”, I copied their Thai tea recipe in my Ninja Creami - 2 scoops of protein, whole Fairlife milk to the right fill line, then a bit of honey for some extra sweetness. Mix on the “lite ice cream” setting then add a splash of milk and re-spin. My macros were about 30C/21F/72P for the whole pint and it’s delicious - 5 stars for the ice cream! It fulfills my sweet tooth while also helping me hit my protein goals, and the best part is that this doesn’t have caffeine so I can eat it whenever I want.

I must say this is pretty flavorful as a protein drink mind you I don’t supplement protein via shakes. However, my curiosity for this concept (boba) sparked my interest and also supporting my asian small biz I decided to try it out! Not only am I impressed with the quality ingredients list, the flavor is so tasty (taro) even with water only. The milky creamy-ness follows through. I can’t wait for wintermelon as that is one of my go to for milk tea flavors! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am impressed with how good the flavor and texture is for this protein! I absolutely love Boba drinks, but I’m hesitant when it comes to powdered protein. Unfortunately, they were out of Thai milk when I ordered, so I got Taro, and I have to say, the taste is actually on point! It’s just sweet enough, and the powder is very fine, so it blends easily. I highly recommend mixing it with some kind of milk, as water makes it a little diluted and thin.
