    Mung Bean Protein

Mung Bean protein is a hit! I have tried many varieties of mung bean, and this one did not disappoint. It has a slightly sweet and nutty taste, similar to the filipino snack, polvoron. It's also good when added into greek yogurt.

Like other boba tea protein powders, this one dissolves easily with cold water. Hopefully, one day this flavor will be an option for "subscribe and save".

    Tastes like peanuts?

I ordered the Mung Bean Protein bundle (not the whole collection) the hour it dropped because I was worried it would sell out instantly. I'd previously been drinking the less caffeinated milk tea after working out, as my dinner, but I think it's been discontinued.

I was really excited for this release since I tried mung bean milk tea in Taiwan. This tastes more like peanuts/kinako to me, but it's still good! I like how there's no caffeine in this one, so I can have it at night too. I've tried this with just almond milk and in a smoothie with frozen fruit and copious amounts of spinach, and both versions are good! It's creamy without tasting milky.

    Favorite non-caffeinated option

When this was first announced, I was pleasantly surprised, being a fan of all things adzuki and mung bean, and had high hopes. Trying it, it blew away my expectations! Highly encourage any fans of red bean paste (the closest thing I can compare to sweetened mung beans that is fairly popular) to give this a try. Hope it remains as permanent flavor!

Does not taste like Mung bean to me

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of this particular flavor. To me, it doesn’t taste like mung bean but more like a light peanut butter flavor. I won’t be repurchasing this flavor.

    unexpected…😭

i don’t know what i was expecting but it wasn’t this!!! 😩 to me, this tastes like thick almond milk 😭 and i don’t like it lol i liked the original thai tea flavor before it was reformulated (even though it tasted nothing like it) more than this 💀 i’ll drink it for the protein since i have it but will not repurchase.

i’ll stick to my holy trinity next time (matcha, jasmine, and classic)

    Too sweet and chalky

Sweeter than the original and isn’t as smooth.

Wasn't sure what to expect. Almost resembles a vanilla taste to me.
