Strawberry Hibiscus Collagen

I was drinking the mango green tea flavor and wanted to try something new and this one did not disappoint!!! It smelled so good and tasted even better! It’s not as sweet as I thought it might’ve been and there’s no aftertaste or weird residue. LOL it smells like the dried fruit snacks I eat sometimes

Ordered two items, the Matcha Latte whey protein and Strawberry Hibiscus collagen protein.

This was my first time trying collagen protein. Now, I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew what strawberry and Hibiscus combo tasted like. But I do know that there is that smell associated with bones and tendon because.. duh. When I opened the bag, I was like "oop there it is" with the bone broth smell but immediately after, I definitely smelled the strawberries

I mixed it with the recommended amount of water. Started with 8 fl ounces and I enjoyed the fruitiness but the smell did kinda overpower everything and because I have a very sensitive sense of smell, it was kinda hard to enjoy it. I diluted it more, and the smell was a little lighter but I still couldn't get over it

However what worked for me is that I mixed it with Calamansi nectar and the smell was 90% covered up! If anybody is struggling with the smell and taste of collagen, try adding fruit juice. It makes a world of a difference

I typically have this with my post workout meal, particularly if I work out late at night bc silly me got matcha protein when I'm sensitive to caffeine. It works well as a beverage with my food and it gets a golden star from me!
