    Mung Bean Protein

Mung Bean protein is a hit! I have tried many varieties of mung bean, and this one did not disappoint. It has a slightly sweet and nutty taste, similar to the filipino snack, polvoron. It's also good when added into greek yogurt.

Like other boba tea protein powders, this one dissolves easily with cold water. Hopefully, one day this flavor will be an option for "subscribe and save".

    Tastes like peanuts?

I ordered the Mung Bean Protein bundle (not the whole collection) the hour it dropped because I was worried it would sell out instantly. I'd previously been drinking the less caffeinated milk tea after working out, as my dinner, but I think it's been discontinued.

I was really excited for this release since I tried mung bean milk tea in Taiwan. This tastes more like peanuts/kinako to me, but it's still good! I like how there's no caffeine in this one, so I can have it at night too. I've tried this with just almond milk and in a smoothie with frozen fruit and copious amounts of spinach, and both versions are good! It's creamy without tasting milky.

    BEANS!!

Mixed reviews left me feeling like I was gambling on whether or not I’d be able to drink this one, but I was pleasantly surprised! I’ve tried various mixed combinations and have breakdown reviews of the following:

    Water only: ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆

If you like very bland taro or the slight taste of either sugar free peanut butter with a hint of chickpea flavor, then you might like it mixed with Water only.

    Whole or 2% milk - ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

Little better, I think it tastes a pinch better this way. Milk or creamer seems to bring out a more peanut butter vibe from it.

    Soy milk or Vanilla soy milk - ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Two peas in a pod! Or…beans in a bunch? Either way this is superior to water or milk, by a good bit. I’ve tried it with vanilla soy milk too and it reminds me of something you’d buy at a Trader Joe’s—y’know the kind of bottle that lists several or so natural herbs and organic produce and doesn’t taste *amazing* but hey, it’s healthy.

    Chocolate milk/Chocolate Soy milk - ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Listen. It’s off-brand, sugar free ‘Reese’s.’ That’s what it tastes like. It’s not half-bad either, I like it best this way for a treat. Want to make it taste really good but lose the health benefits of 0 Sugar? Go ham with adding some chocolate syrup. Then it tastes REALLY good!

    Huzzah!

Like others, this is very peanut forward with vanilla to me. I dig that though, and it's such a treat. I'm happy to have a non-caffeinated option so I can have it before bed. Most of the flavors are great on my finicky stomach, and this flavor is no exception. It likely mixes best with milk as another reviewer noted, or at least something with a creamier base. It can be a little chalky if you don't prep it right, but that's on me for trying it with just water the first time. When I tried a different milk base, it was awesome. Keep it in stock, please!

    Not their best flavor

Overall, it’s okay. I do love this brand, but the mung bean protein powder texture is slightly different and chunkier. Also, I think they have better flavors. My fiancé loves it though, so still a winner!

Yeah for more caffeine free Asian flavors

I love all the products so far but admit I can't have caffeine too late or too much in a single day. I was so excited to see a caffeine free version. This has a very mild mung bean taste and not too sweet.
